We've taken an existing brew and given it a seasonal twist!

Sloe Gin is a traditional winter treat, so we've got hold of loaaaaads of sloes and whacked them into a brew of Gin and Juice.

The sherberty flavours of the botanicals come through along with a jammy, dry flavour from the sloes with notes of plum and marzipan.

Reaaaaaally laid back.

So murky. Interesting nose, strong sloe berry resemblance with a touch of juniper, some mineralic notes, plum, Blausäure. Only light sweet start, tart and tangy turns rather dry. Really good, but for some reason i feel like it could have more depth

Can from Trembling Madness, York. Reddish beer with a pink-flecked and large head. Juniper berries, tart fruits, some leafy hops, light malts and a dryish finish. Ok.

Can. Looks like guava. Plummy nose. Chewy. Not getting any gin characteristics beyond the sloe juice aspect. Curiously non-beer like. Expected more complexity.

Can. Pours like guava juice - dull red with a pale purple head. Aroma of sweet and tart berries, hard spices, mild vegetable funk. Richer than expected with sweet jammy fruit and a mild herbal tang behind. OK but a novelty beer.

Can from Beers of Europe. Pours murky purple-red with a pink-tinged head. Aromas of red fruit and juniper. Taste is very dry, more fruit and spice. Dry finish. Bit odd.

Can: Poured a reddish fruit purée, little burnt orange in there as well. Head was fully carbonated two finger off white to pink. Aroma is berry seeds a bit jam with some malt. Taste is berry seed, grain, malt, dry fruit lingering.

Tried at the Strait and Narrow, Lincoln. Reddish golden and cloudy colour with a white head. The aroma has fruity slow and hints from the gin botanicals. Taste light bittersweet to light sweet. Medium body.

Can from Appellation Wines Comely Bank. Appearance - murky pink and brown. Lovely big white head. Tiny tight bubbles. Nose - red fruits, sloes perhaps. Raspberries. Light sourness and citrus. Couldn't get the juniper. Taste - more herbs this time, possibly juniper. Loads of sour red fruit again. Palate - light to medium bodied, creamy and tangy through middle and finish. Overall - good. Well perceived and well executed.
