Sipping this Collesi Ambrata Craft Beer is like being wrapped in warm autumn lights. Unpasteurized and naturally bottle conditioned, it reveals itself as generously rounded and intense. The strong hop imprint that enhances the hints of autumn fruit is perceived immediately in this Collesi Ambrata Craft Beer. Its barley, malt and herbal notes are of great elegance. Its aromatic structure is rich in nuances that resonate in the complex flavor, which is soft and creamy, but also pungent.

Bottle shared by Cuso. Aroma quite neutral. Hazy orange to amber colour. Taste sweetish, candyish, light esters. Light alcohol as well. And light spiciness, clove. Not bad, bud did not catch my attention either.

Bottle sample at a tasting at Dancing Camel Florentin. Thanks Yoav. Hazy amber with a beige head. Aroma of fruit esters, a bit of caramel, a bit of bubblegum and a hint of alcohol. Sweet flavor of fruit esters, bubblegum, a bit of caramel and a faint alcohol note. Medium-bodied.

Cloudy brown beer, good off white head. Palate start soft from the head but then is very crisp in the body of the beer. Good carbonated sting. Minerally fresh malt with mild lactose. Tiny bit of orange hop. Sharp carbonated finish with a trace of banana. Refreshing if somewhat ephemeral.

A random find at Inoue’s near Kyoto station(980 yen) which was odd as they specialize in Belgian beer. They seem to be imported to Japan by wine importers which is why I never seem them at beer stores I guess. A beautiful looking bottle makes it great to bring somewhere for dinner - classy. It gushed when opened and seemed fairly carbonated. A nice amber ale with a great color & a light white head of foam that quickly dissipated. It had a malty flavor with some bitter/smokiness. Quite smooth.
