Collaboration with Tired Hands Brewing Company. This 8% imperial IPA was brewed with fresh lime zest and juice as well as Simcoe and Amarillo hops. A great beer for all things summer.

22 oz bottle from Vintner Wine Market. Unclear yellow with a light head and some drippy lacing. Lime, citrus aroma. Some rind notes, a bit of fruity sweetness, finishes somewhat dry. Rather fruity. Drinks nicely. Good beer.

Sample at Paddy Long’s in Chicago. This beer is a hazy yellow-gold color with a medium white head that dissipates steadily to a film. Stringy lacing. Lime, hops and malt aroma. Medium body with flavors of zesty lime, herbal hops and malt. The finish is moderately bitter with a citrusy hops aftertaste. Pretty good overall.

From tap. Pours hazy yellow with a small white head. Aroma is lime and slight grassy to spiced. Mild fruity, vague sweetness. Light fruity. Smooth fruity, citrusy to lime. Dry and slight citric far finish.

Tap@Himmeriget, Copenhagen - golden pour with decent sized white head. Citrus fruity and malty with a prominent citrus lime character gives it a zesty fruity lightness which really masks the 8% abv, drinks really well, goes down a treat. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Enjoyed on tap at the Bad Apple in Chicago, IL. I had this on a warm night and forgot to review, but remember this being extremely good. When I ordered it I was a bit hesitant since the only beer I’ve had containing lime was a Bud Lite Lime, and obviously it wasn’t going to be like that at all, but since it’s a seldom used ingredient I was intrigued to see what Pipeworks would do with it. I throughly enjoyed it, it’s a central component but not overpowering and mixed well with the hop profile. Very good stuff.

Tasting at Bruce’ s pad. Very hazy gold beer, small pale cream coloured head. Smooth airy palate. Softish. Really nice floral lime with a little pine and mild marmalade. Touch of lemon. Underneath is nice soft creamy malt. Comes together well. Smooth finish with a decent bitter linger.

Bottle thanks to Kenny. It pours cloudy golden-orange with a small white head. The nose is orange, tangerine, mango, passion fruit, marmalade and sherbet. The taste is doughy, crisp, spice, orange peel, grapefruit, mandarin, lime pith, peppery, light alcohol and decent bitterness with a dry, citric finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Pretty decent.

Bottle shared at my 5K tasting at Bruce’s pad, big thanks to Kenny for this one, 13/11/13. #197 whatever that refers to on the bottle !?! Hazed orange amber with a moderate off white covering. Nose is bitter orange, grapefruit, straw, orange sherbet. Taste comprises orange pith, hint mango, grapefruit, toasted malts, bread dough, light booze. Medium bodied, fine carbonatio, dry grassy hop bitterness in the closure. Ok DIPA - not a particularly aggressive number making for an easy drinking affair.

Bottle shared at Bruce’s in London - many thanks to Kenwise. Pours mostly clear gold with a foamy white head. Nose holds lemongrass, lime, pine needles. Mediums sweet flavor with further lime, bitter citrus rind, touches of alcohol. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Lightly warming to finish with bitter lime rind, general citrus, grass. OK.

22 oz. bottle, pours a clear golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out loads of citrus hops, limey zest, and herbal notes. Flavour is extremely limey, with loads of citrusy lime hops - not a whole lot else. The like is very front and centre, without much else that's discernible. Okay at first, but it gets too limey after a while. Drinkable, but not very enjoyable.
