Bottle thanks to Ken at the 0-65% tasting. It pours very dark brown with a thick light tan head, The nose is varnish, resin, pine, caramel, hint of bubblegum and citrus notes. The taste is roasted malt, charcoal, varnish, bitter-sweet aspect, pine, ash and some underlying sweetness with a bitter-sweet finish. Medium-full body, moderate carbonation and oily mouth-feel. Like a black IPA - Imperial stout cross. Smooth, flavoursome and well-integrated.

Bottle at the 0-65% Tasting, London - thanks to Ken for this beer and for really pushing us to be all we can be. Pours rich brown with a thick, tan head. Grainy, dark bread nose, light honey. Big sweet flavor with moderate roast, dirt, charred wood, dark sugars. Full bodied with fine, creamy carbonation. Lightly warming to finish with rich cocoa, light coffee, a bit of licorice. Some oily and resinous feel. Overall very tasty stuff. Lasting strong chocolate and coffee. Solid.

The 0-65 tasting. Four guys, fourteen beers, average abv 12.9%, 65 mins! Almost opaque dark brown beer. Good pale tan head. Palate is soft and dry. Creamy dark malt with a tiny bit of roast. Nice red berry fruits - subtle. Well integrated piney hops. Nice creamy dark malt finish. Rich, smooth and tasty.

Dark color, almost black. Nice aroma of roasted malts, harmonious, with some chocolate, ashes and cookies. Round mouthfeel, with a good chocolate flavor and a good share of roasted malts too; light liquorice in the end; strong bitterness. The alcohol and some hop resins create a pleasant aggressive feeling in the final.
Powerful but cohesive and well constructed.

Bottle shared at a tasting at Dancing Camel. Thanks Hansen & Zita for this bottle! Black with a light brown head. Aroma of coffee, licorice, "green" notes and a bit of roastiness and alcohol. Roasty flavor with some sweetness, coffee, some dark chocolate, a bit of licorice, light acidic notes and a dry bitter finish, slightly burnt. Full-bodied, alcohol is very well-hidden. Nice.

500 ml courtesy of Stefan (non-RB). Pours hazy dark wooden brown, close to black, with a frothy brownish beige head that slowly dissipates while leving some thick lacing on the glass. Smell is sweet and malty with dark rye bread, sweetened coffee, cocoa powder, alcohol, dry wood, cereal, salty liquorice, cornflakes and caraway. Taste is sweet, slightly bitter and malty with roasted malts, sweet dark bread, resinous wood, oily pine, caramel, alcohol, cocoa powder, salty liquorice hard candy, cereal and hints of smoke and burnt wood. Mouthfeel is round, slightly smooth, tiny oily bitter and medium to full bodied. Finish is slightly sweet, bitter and tiny sour with roasted malts, dark roast coffee, burnt wood, caramel, pine and wet soil. Weird cereal smell and taste that doesn’t suit the beer very well. Except for that it’s quite good.
