Can from Tavour. Pours clear dark brown with a transient tan head. Aroma of bourbon and toffee. Approaching full bodied. Flavor is toffee, bourbon/vanilla and some astringent oak notes. Not dry. Not sticky. Sort of bitter - like perhaps the heat substituting for bitterness. It is smooth and extremely tasty.

Bottle. Pours as murky deep brown with a slight amber hue and a a thin light brown head that dissipates to the edges. Bottle thanks to Ben. It pours clear deep ruby with a decent white head. The aroma is sweet, sticky, bourbon, vanilla, toffee, crunchie, oak, boozy, fruit cake, sultana, raisin and sticky toffee pudding. The taste is slick, sticky, brown sugar, boozy warmth, sultana, raisin, green coconut, heat, crunchie, toothy, banana bread, bourbon, spice and malt loaf with a drying, woody finish. Full body, fine carbonation and oily mouth feel. Sweet and filthy. A good sipper.

Bottle, huge thanks Andrew! Bourbon barrel aroma, raisins, vanilla, dusty. Some alcohol. Toffee. Taste... Sweetish raisiny Bourbon barrel and solid sweetish malt. Slightly too high alcohol, warming. Genuinely nice in more ways than one, but still sliiightly rough.

2018-04-24, tasting at Oakes' Manor, bottle tagged GD 10/30/17, 7-4-8-4-16=39
Brown colour. Not as sweet or full bodied as a Barley Wine, but it has good malt depth, nutty caramel, some bourbon and vanilla, the alcohol is quite evident.
Very good.

Dark brown color. The bourbon dominates the aroma but it's not too strong; malt. Good body strength, medium sweet, with flavor of malt and toffee, hints of chocolate; the bourbon flavor is very strong, the alcohol too.
A bit boody, but overall balanced and excellent.
