Keg at the Weather Station, Reading. Black with a beige head. Chocolate, brown toast and coffee. Tastes like an average stout - enjoyable enough, but you expect a bit more than this from an impy.

Can split at L6 tasting, which was I picked up online, 17/04/19. Light black with a well presented tan covering. Nose is tangy berry fruits, charr, light roast, toffee, cocoa powder. Taste comprises roast malts, chocolate biscuit, red berry fruits, brown sugar, blueberries. Medium plus body, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a rasp of alcohol at the curtain call. Passable impy … but ultimately lacks depth for the ABV.

Can shared in London - cheers to Colin. Pours brown with a frothy tan head. Dry toasted brown bread defines it, with notes of milk chocolate, earthy bitterness. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Lightly warming finish, more dry and lightly bitter cocoa. Not bad.

Level 6 bottleshare. A Cloin can, cheers! Opaque dark brown beer, small pale tan head. Thin malts, slightly dank coffee and unsweet dark chocolate. Dry and slightly dusty finish. Hmmm!

330ml can from Brewdog bottlebox. Sweet, heavy and slightly roasty with some licorice, earthy notes and warming alcohol. A bit unbalanced and stuffy.
