Draft. Pours a pale gold w/white head. Very smooth tasting with some hops.

Bottle from Die Bierothek, Bamberg. Aroma is grainy malt and soft noble hops with a hint of butter. Flavour is light to moderate sweet and bitter. Body is medium. Fairly average Pilsener, not bad, just decent.

Swing top bottle. Hops and malt. Some distant apple fruit. Hint of cardboard. Light hoppy aftertaste. What can I say? Probably needs a tap to be really good.

Pours clear golden with a huge, frothy, white head; lots of lacing. Aroma of grain, hay, citrus, honey, grass, stable or barnyard, cow fodder. It tastes medium malty sweet, a bit bready, and light to medium grainy bitter, a bit grassy & hay-like. Dryish, grainy finish, lingering yeast, bread, a touch of citrus. Light body, slick texture, fizzy carbonation. Not the worst of Pilseners, just underwhelming.

On tap @ Klosterbr�u, Bamberg. Pours clear yellow, with a big creamy head. Aroma is herbal hops, as well as malts with cereals and toffee. Medium body, with average carbonation. Flavour is herbal hops, with citrus and grassy notes, as well as malts with cereals and toffee.

Tap at the brewpub. Flowery aroma over typical malt-forwardness. Strong mineral bitterness, just a spoonful out of balance. Still super drinkable, but that palate gives a little malus.
