A rich, regal Porter from 1926

REVIVING THE REIGN OF PORTER
1926 was a special year for Great Britain - a certain Princess Elizabeth was born. On the occasion of her 90th birthday, we went back through our old brew books to find a recipe from her birth year - and we found a Porter fit for a Queen

Light sweet flavour with chalky cocoa, leathery berries, nips of earth. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Drying finish, more leathery berries, hints of burnt toffee and cocoa. Not bad overall.

50cl bottle from Alko. Poured almost pitch black with a thick off white head. Licorice, lactose, chocolate and milky notes in aroma. Licorice dominates, chocolate, some roastedness, hint of ash in the back. Long sweet finish with more licorice, salty kind. Really liking this. Could be fuller body, now feels a bit light at times.

Közepes, nagyon tartós, bézs hab, vöröses fekete szín. Aszalt gyümölcsös, gabonás, enyhe pörkölt malátás illat. Pörkölt malátás, kávés, aszalt gyümölcsös ízek. Kissé száraz, közepesen testes, közepesen szénsavas és keserű. Kellemes, letisztult, nem túlbonyolított porter.

Wyglad to ciemno brazowa barwa z krwisto rubinowymi refleksami. Piana malenka do sredniej ale oblepia szklo i opada szybko niczym jazda Kubicy lub niegdys Schumachera. Zapach prawie niewyczuwalny. Chyba dobrze to odwzorowali Londynczycy.
