Deadication cider to Arthur Conan Doyle, who's books gave us one of the most iconic British literary sleuths in Sherlock Holmes, he was born on this day in 1859. From the mythical brit to actual British apple made cider, with the fruit potent, sweetish - allowing minimum bitterness - healthy enough tasting.

500ml bottle from M&S, Darlington, thanks to Lynn. Pale yellow gold colour, short-lived white foam head and aroma of fruity apple, sugary, sulphury hint. Taste is sweet, fruity, apple, sugary, hint of brett, some melon & citric acidity. Medium bodied, light carbonation, medium sweet finish. Quite OK

500ml bottle from M&S, Kuala Lumpur. Poured a crystal clear straw colour with lots of fizz. The aroma is sweet apples. The flavour is moderate to light sweet, with a light, crisp, acidic, slightly herbal, apple palate. Medium to light bodied with average carbonation.
