Kräftiges Dunkelbraun bis nahezu Schwarz füllt das Glas. Die bräunliche, fein- bis mittelporige Schaumkrone wirkt wässerig-flaumig und geht zunehmends in eine grobporige Konsistenz über. Der Duft wirkt sehr kräftig röstig mit Noten von dunkler Schokolade, Mokka mit einem leicht säuerlich-herben Charakter. Der Antrunk kommt spritzig, wirkt frisch und süßlich-herb. Am Gaumen präsentiert sich ein sehr schöner, leicht süßlicher und vor allem röstiger Körper mit Noten von dunkler Schokolade, Rumkonfekt und Mokka. Die fruchtigen Dörrobstnoten fügen sich dabei sehr gut in diesen röstigen Charakter ein, sodass sich bereits eine leichte Komplexität ergibt. Für ein Bier mit 5,0% Alkohol unglaublich toll! Mundgefühl und Süffigkeit sind dabei als sehr gut zu bezeichnen und es macht richtig Spaß, dieses Bier zu trinken! Im Nachtrunk schwächelt die Aromatik leider etwas. Nachdem sich eine zarte Säure abbaut, stellt sich relativ rasch eine trockene Hopfenherbe und eine hintergründige Note von dunkler Schokolade ein. Das ist auch schon der einzige kleine Kritikpunkt. Solange man aber noch weitere Schlucke machen kann, ist das aber nur ein kleines Problem. Fazit: Ein Dunkles, wie man es sich nur wünschen kann. Davon können sich viele österreicherreichische, aber auch deutsche Brauer etwas abschauen.

Bottle from SuperLincs Lincoln. Black colour with a tan head. Aroma and taste are malty sweet and slight coffee. Medium body.

Pour is a cola brown with a large white head. Aroma is dark malt, burnt sugar and a little anise. Flavor is more dark chewy malt with a little cocoa powder finish. It's not overly sweet with more of a ashy dry finish. Decent dark lager.

Bottle. From the new Polish supermarket in Darnall. Sits a very dark cola brown with a super dense and lasting pale beige foam. Looks the beans. Nose has light roast. Some caramel. Hint of chocolate. Some hop leaf. Taste is light sweet, with a moderate roast bitterness. Super smooth mouthfeel with fine foamy carbonation. Light bitter finish. I’d sink four of these in a row, no bother.

500ml flip-top bottle from a local Polish store: BB2nd Jul 2021. Shared with a friend at home on 18th Jun 2021. Decent enough dark lager, almost black in colour, the head a tanned affair. Treacle/toffee like aroma and initial taste, caramel flavours too, so on the sweet malty side of things.

swing top bottle 500ml. -from some bottle shop in Krakow. Black coloured, medium sized tan head, light toffee and burnt caramel in the nose. Toasted malt, toffee, caramel, weak hops and dusty bitter/sweet finish.
