Can sourced from Ales and Brews - New brewery ✅ Sweet and toasted malty with lots of dried fruit shred, lots of toffee and caramel, treacle, oily and slick mouthfeel, medium body, lingering sweet malty finish. Not had a scotch ale for ages, pretty accurate for style. Nice.

440ml can from Sophie's Beer Store and drunk at home. Dark reddish brown, opaque with very little head. Malt, stone fruit, brandy in the aroma. Sweet taste with a foggy boozy flavour, some considerable bitterness toward the finish. Flat oily body. Maybe a bit over-the-top, it doesnt quite hang together.

440ml can; BB 27th Oct 2022. Drank at home on 12th Mar 2021. Deep purple/brown body, no head worthy of the name. Malty nose with a Rye like twist (no Rye in the ingredients list), taste also malts first and again with that Rye twist (that isn't there). German Bock or Duppel Bock like in the overall feel and if it was a blind tasting I would not have said it was a Scotch Ale at all (shows what I know). Really enjoyed the sweetness of it though, no matter what the style it is.

Panda at home thanks to Colin. A hazed burnt toffee coloured pour with a halo of off white head. Aroma is sweet, scotch, toffee, jammy fruits, sticky toffee apple, chewy toffee. Flavour is composed of semi sweet, light tang, apple, pinch of salt, . Palate is semi sweet, sticky, moderate carbonation. Meh not favourite style.

Can from House Of Trembling Madness. Hazy ruby/brown body with a beige head that fades. Low carbonation. No lacing. Aroma of toffee and burnt sugar. Flavour of fig and honey. Medium body with a slick texture. Soft fizz. A tasty beer and a good example of the style. I would like to see Pentrich do more of these malt-forward beers. A Scotch Ale series maybe?
