Brewed with speciality malts and Goldings hops giving raisin and biscuit notes with a treacle aroma, Muckle Bari brown ale is a mighty good Northumberland beer.

Bottle from the Northumberland Beer Box. Aroma is down low. Coffee and molasses. Opaque cola brown. Bubbly beige head soon pretty much fades away. Light bitter with a tanginess to it and hints of sweetness. Coffee, liqourice, burnt caramel. Light-medium bodied. Watery. Fizzy carbonation. Dry slightly astringent finish. Wasn't too sure what to expect but decent stuff. Not the overly sweet beer I had feared it would be.
