Clear golden, offwhite head. Fresh hop nose, light grain nose, grassy hops, very crisp, pilsner like.

Bottle. Clear golden-yellow color with white head. Aroma is sweet-malty, a bit metallic, a touch of grassy hops, some paper, cereal. Taste is the same. Medium carbonation. Unspectacular, but ok. 6-3-6-3-12 Tap. Nearly clear golden color with white head. Aroma is grainy, grassy, pale mals, earthy hops, Taste is pale malts, crackery, a bit grassy. Natural carbonation. Nice Helles (could be a Pils as well, though). 6-3-6-4-13

Bottle. A helles with a strong dirty sweetness. Bitterness profile is shy at first turning prominent on the palate. Rather crisp carbonation. Works, but nothing spectacular.

Bottle on the train during the Bamberg Jolly - January 2014. Pours clear, yellow-gold with a foamy, white head. Stupendously simple beer, with doughy pale bread, some straw. Light bodied with average carbonation. Further simplicity on the finish, with a little bitter straw, light doughy bread. Really drinkable, but really basic.

On tap at the brewery. Deep gold colour lasting white head. So loving the Keller and pilsner here interesting to have the vollbier. Bready aroma. Yes fuller than the Keller or pils. Still got a huge slap of hop and bitterness on the finish. Malts are juicier. Maybe not the drinkability of the pils or Keller but has the character and carries a little more weight. Good. The cereal malt flavour really comes through. Hard to rate.

Tap at a Pizza joinit in Buttenheim. Glowing, clear gold with a high, pillowy head. Slightly spicy, herbal , peppery nose. Clean, bready, crackery malts. Spicy hop flavor, bland but subtly peppery finish. Not very interesting but decent enough. Drinkable and a bit too mild.

Fra fat på Winterkeller, Forchheim 11 Okt 14. Gyldengulbrun. Bra kremaktig skum. Beskjeden aroma av gress & mais. Smaken syrlig med et lite malt-preg.
