A beer we brewed with a friend for a one off has ended up going down so well we have brewed a full tank including keg and cans. Sorachi Saison is a 4.6% belgian style beer hopped with Sorachi Ace which is one of our favourite hops at our brewery. It's light, lemony and very unique in it's flavour and aroma. Sorachi Saison is a low strength but a very intriguing beer to fill your glass.

33oml can: BB 5th Nov 2020. Drank at home on 16th Apr 2020 during the virus lock in. Misty golden body, decent white crown. Like it says on the tin, it's lemon flavoured. A little tart also.

Can at home. It pours clear pale golden with a thick, foamy white head. The aroma is bright, zingy, lemon - lime, sherbert, herbal, cracker, perfumed and a touch of bubblegum. The taste is dry, green, grassy, herbal, lemongrass, lemon - lime, cracker, straw, chalky, minerality and spice with a spicy finish. Medium body and fine, foamy carbonation. Ok.

Tight white head left a thin spotty cover on an unclear pale golden still body. Pineapple, yeast & pepper aroma. Medium bodied, aerious in mouth with an effervescent back. Bitter pithy citrus, hoppy, lemon, yeast, spice & pepper tastes. Very Clean!

Can from Appellation Wines. Appearance - hazy yellow orange. Neat thin lacing. Nose - yeast and dried lemon zest. Then candied orange. Taste - more of the candied orange up front. Dry, tangy and yeasty through the finish. Palate - tangy and creamy at the same time. Long, dry, tangy finish. Overall - the palate is great. It is more important than any tasting notes from the nose and taste.
