50cl Fles van Eden Project. Helder Amber kleur, romige vuilwitte kraag.

Panda at home, thanks to Fergus, 12/06/22. Clear amber to copper with a decent just off white covering that thins to a swirl. Nose is brown bread, dried fruits, dates, nutty, dusty hops, stewed fruits. Taste comprises fruit cake, toffee, candied orange peel, brown sugar dusting, dates, prunes. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a modest bitter edge. Solid ESB (English Strong in reality).

Bottle at the glamping site in Devon. Picked up from the brewery. A mostly clear nut brown amber coloured pour with a loose off white head that fades. Aroma is nice nutty toasted malts, fruit loaf, raisin, charred toast, Flavour is composed of semi sweet, toasted nuts, fig pud, raisin loaf, marmelade on toast, rustic, some alcohol warmth. Palate is semi sweet, chewy, moderate carbonation. Good.

Creamy off white head left a blotchy cover & collar on a translucent copper coloured body. Malt, berry & caramel aroma. Medium bodied, soft on the palate with a tingle on the back & cloying aft. Caramel, spices, sweet red berry, very slightly burnt & toffee tastes with peppery tangy finish.

Paper wrapped, 500ml bottle conditioned: BB 10th Jan 2020. Drank at my brothers house in Devon on 23rd June 2019. Copper body, flat condition, no head. Treacle toffee nose and taste, my sweet tooth taking too it straight away.

Bottle from Beers of Europe . Appearance - deep amber to brown. Generous, lightly creamy head. Nose - red fruit and light cake. Taste - more red fruit, possibly jam. Cake again. Palate - close to medium bodied with a creamy texture. Decent linger. Overall - good beer if not in the centre of the ESB church.

Bottle shared with Ashton McCobb. Pours murky red brown with a thin white head. Aromas of red fruit, toffee. Taste is vinous, sweet, red fruit. Not sticky though. Good, if not quite esb territory.
