Hunters Old Charlie is a classic ale with a slight aroma of orange and flowery hops. Double hopped with Bodicea and a late addition of English Challenger to give a crisp hoppy taste.

Old review from 2021 - 500ml bottle from Morisons in Totnes on last years Devon trip. Poured back in Jersey, it's amber with a tiny white head. Aromas & tastes of flora, citrus, hints of orange & pale malt. Moderate body. Light bitter finish. Pretty average bitter

Cask from the brewer's own stand at the Mapledurham Food Festival. Amber-gold with a thin white head. Light fruity, earthy taste. Bit of gravy. Yer average bitter.

500ml bottle; BB 13th Oct 2018. Bought at the Cheese Larder, South Molton, Devon. Drank at my brothers house on 18th July 2018. Light golden body, good white crown. Nice blend with a good malty base for the bittering hops to play on. Easy drinking English Bitter, old style sort of feel to the whole thing.

Bottle shared with JMD at HNB 23.11.17. Slightly hazy golden. Foamy, dense and persistent white head. Aroma and taste of citrus, marmalade and pale malt. Lively, bordering to fizzy, mouthfeel.

0,5 flaske fra Gulating Stavanger, delt med Ovesen etter endt brygging: lett uklar lys gylden med flott skum som varer. Mild citrusaroma og -smak, ikke helt det jeg forbinder med en bitter, den minner mer om en slank og lett pale ale. Behaglieg, citruspreget bitterhet.
