Cask @ Great Northern, St Albans. Clear amber-red with a creamy-frothy head. Has gentle rye notes in an easy-drinking texture, and a berry-sweetness in its nose.

Cask half-pint in The Platform Alehouse, Albrighton Station, Shropshire on 10th Nov 2016. Orange hue to the mahogany body, thin white head. Rye rules the nose and flavour along with some red berry fruitiness in the taste also, the finish is dry. Decent enough and I loved the pumpclip, cracking looking aircraft the Vampire..

Cask at the Crown, Horsell, at 4.3% ABV. An attractive copper colour with a thin cream head; spicy malt aroma; thin in the mouth with a caramel taste and a touch of rye bread; and a lingering spicy bitterness to finish. Rather toned down compared to an American rye ale.

Cask gravity at the St Albans BEER festival 2016. A clear ruby red brown coloured pour with a sticky off white head . Aroma is sharp citrus, burnt toffee, brown sugars, liquorice, orange rind. Flavour is composed of sticky malts, Rye bread, sticky pine needle, orange rind, hint of tobacco. Palate is medium sweet, sweet, sticky, moderate cask condition . Pretty good.
