Cask at the Beacon Hotel during the RateBeer Black Country Bus Bash. Pours clear gold with a creamy white cap. Herbs and dough in the aroma. Light sweet flavor with a surprisingly large herbal character, some perfume, white bread. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Light dry dough finish with lots of herbs and spices, more sweet white bread. OK. Interesting.

Half-pint, gravity pour at the 1st Hodnet Sports and Social Club Beer Festival on 17 Aug 2013. Golden with a weak white head. Floral hop nose and taste, some malt in the background. OK, but just a standard UK light coloured Bitter with no real strong attributes. Can’t believe everyone else who’s rated it before me were on the Black Country Bus Trip: I had the Beacon’s own beers when we stopped, never even thought about having a different breweries beers!
