Brown 500ml bottle (bottle conditioned), best before 20th Nov 2008, drank July 2008. Very lively, only got half the bottle into my pint tumbler because of the head that appeared as I tried to pour. Pale amber/yellow with a white (large) head, clear and well carbonated, bubbles rising to replenish the head. Citrus aroma, mixed with hops and malts. It claims to have a continental style (whatever that means?) and it doesn’t taste like a normal English Bitter at all. The citrus flavours within the smell are very apparant in the taste, it is almost tangy, zesty even. It tasted a little green, as in not ready, but it only had 4 months life left and it had sat in my garage for over six months. The label also told me to serve it slightly chilled on a sunny day, so I did. A little watery for 4.8%, but not wishy-washy. The spritzy citrus flavours linger in the mouth for a while. Not really ’My Cup of Tea’, but an interesting brew none-the-less.

Bottle from Tesco. Poured gold with white bubbly head. Taste was really hoppy with some malts, but other than this it was lacking and despite the nice crisp hoppiness a bit boring.

500ml bottle from Tesco. Gold with disappearing off white. Lots of carbonation though remaining. Some yeast and floral hop aroma. Odd lambicky aroma, bit of farmyard, perhaps infected?? Over carbonated in mouth. Pretty skanky really. Some bizarre golden ale/lager that hasn’t taken well to being bottle conditioned.

500ml bottle from Tesco, Camberley. Pale gold in colour with a billowing white head; bright and clear with lots of carbonation; floral honeyed aroma; refreshing citrus flavour, with sweetness developing - some honey again. Slightly dry and sour finish is a bit of a disappointment.
