Bottle gift from my brother – drank at home. Pours a very deep chestnut with a sizable frothy tan head. There’s butter, caramel and fudge in the aroma. In the mouth it is surprisingly sharp at first, but with some underlying sweetness. Flavour starts off with malts and chocolate, but citrus notes come soon after. Later there are hints of oranges, caramel and bitter hops. Bitterness is more pronounced in the finish. This is decent.

Hand pulled half pint in the Crazy Dragon (Whitchurch) on 23rd May 2025. Dark brown body, beige crust on top. Malty with a slight chocolate taste if you try hard enough to find it, pleasant enough Mild in all aspects, wish more breweries would brew them.

Bottle. Color: Chestnut brown, beige head. Aroma: Caramel and hints of roastes malt. Taste: Very smooth, malty, some roasted malt, chocolate and caramel malt. Moderate sweet with light bitter hoppy backbone. Light hints of orange zest. Medium body, below average carbonation. Dry-ish finish. Nice Mild.

23/6/2024. Cask at the Magic Dragon Brewery Tap, Wrexham. Pours clear dark hazelnut brown with a small creamy off-white head. Aroma is milk chocolate, light roasted malt, caramel, nut, fruity notes. Medium sweetness, moderate roasted bitterness. Moderate body, average carbonation. Decent mild.
