Bottle. Color: Lightly hazy golden, white head. Aroma: Funky, farmyard, hay, very light Bourbon hints. Taste: Combination of farmyard-like wild yeast funk, notes of hay, oak wood, tart and sweet berries, light hints of citrus fruit, subtle sweetish (for this style) Bourbon, vanilla hints. Medium body, just below average carbonation. Still quite lively. Long lasting finish. Moderate tart and light sweetness. Dry-ish finish. I preferred the 2021 edition, which had some more complexity as far as I do remember.

Funk, a bit sweet barrel. Bold, tannic, some phenols. Interesting.

750mL bottle at Grote Dorst, pours a cloudy orange with a small white head. Aroma has musty mildew, some sweet sugars, and light horse blanket. Flavour is semi-sweet, musty leather, and gentle funk. The higher ABV is not really detectable. Pleasant.

750mL bottle at Grote Dorst. Pours clear blonde with a white head. Dusty old wood on the nose. Flavour is full-bodied, some oak, vanilla, a bit dusty. Very good.
On tap at Max's Belgian Fest 2025 pours a murky greenish gold, no head, legs. Nose has sour orange and green grape, nettles, swampy herbs. Flavor is very lemony, funk, some minerality helps. Buttery grape. Screams grappa. Sour too. High acid. Long finish.

(Draught at Moeder Lambic Original, Brussels, 18 Oct 2024) Golden amber colour with brief head. Fruity nose with notes of apricots, citrus, grapefruit and oak wood. Fruity, tart taste with apricots, citrus, orange peel, oak wood, barnyard and a dry and tart finish. Low bitterness. More than medium body, quite dry. Rich and tasty, with a fresh acidity. Very nice.

Pale with slight haze. Thin head. Leathery, strong aroma, bit lemony. Sweet up front…a brown sugar note and a touch of buggy notes. The size of this makes it unique, though I would prefer more complexity. This was specifically listed on the board at 11%.
