Taking inspiration from our flagship beer, The Porter, we wanted to brew a truly sessionable London Porter.
What better way to create an effortlessly drinkable dark beer than to make it nitro. The resulting creaminess and smooth mouthfeel balance perfectly with the subtle roasted notes of coffee and chocolate.

The beer brings together the rich history and heritage of London Porters, with the modern techniques of brewing nitro beers. The result is a beer that is easy drinking, without sacrificing its character.

Draught at Dulwich Hamlet. Jet black with a tan head. Aroma of roast malt. Flavour is creamy roast malt, dry licorice. Toasty finish, excellent and in a plastic cup

Keg at The Burnt Pig, Ilkeston, Derbyshire, Wednesday 4th December 2024 in the company of Dad and Pauline. Pours dark brown, edging towards black with a light beige head. Nice mouthfeel, a little smoky, smooth, with a nice tang, a little bit of dark fruit. Nice.

Keg at the taproom in London Bridge/Bermondsey. This was actually very nice! An improved guinesss really with a bit more oomph to it; jet black and a nice lasting foam. Exactly what you'd want and great value with the percentage.

Tap in Croydon. Nose is roast, burn toast, hazelnut slight fruitiness. Taste is roast, toasty, nutty, slight praline. Served far too cold. It's a stout not a porter

Can. Pours slightly hazy very dark brown with stable, creamy light beige head. Clear aroma of nuts and malt, with touches of yeast and hops. Bitterish, nutty and roasty flavour, with notes of dark chocolate, and malt and creamy touches. Estery and malty aftertaste with nutty notes. Lovely.

Can, 4.4%. Good creamy and roasted aroma. Black colour. Good creamy tight tan head (on the first glass poured). The flavour is creamy and roasted with a caramelly liquorice note. Low carbonation (nitro). The flavour is good, but the carbonation is a bit too mild for me.

On tap at Esthe in Camden Market. Jet black color topped by a creamy tan cap. Aroma is mild roast with a hint of chocolate. Silky smooth palate. Flavor is dark malt, coffee and dark chocolate. Certainly rivals Guinness, as I have heard.
