Taking inspiration from our flagship beer, The Porter, we wanted to brew a truly sessionable London Porter.
What better way to create an effortlessly drinkable dark beer than to make it nitro. The resulting creaminess and smooth mouthfeel balance perfectly with the subtle roasted notes of coffee and chocolate.
The beer brings together the rich history and heritage of London Porters, with the modern techniques of brewing nitro beers. The result is a beer that is easy drinking, without sacrificing its character.

Draught towering, layered cream to brown head, slowly changing into black beer. Liquorice, roast, charcoal, drop , suggesting faintly sweetness. Very dry, cigarette ash, more liquorice, but almost no sweetness, bit roasty, just a chewiness in the very finish and aftertaste. Feels medium bodied, very smooth and creamy texture, good carbonation. Excellent Porter. Anspach & Hobday grow constantly.

On nitro tap at The Craft Beer Co - St Mary Axe, pours black with a medium beige head. Aroma brings out gentle toasted malt and a touch of cocoa. Flavour is mild, with toasted malt and soft earthiness. Very smooth and easy to drink. It's fine.

On tap at the Bear, Paddington on 10th May 2023. Impenetrably black with tan foam and full lacing. Mildly roasty malt aroma. Hints of spices, smokes and roasty malts in-mouth and in finish. Smooth mouthfeel and light body.

Cask @Luppolo Station (Rome). Bruna, densa, impenetrabile, schiuma ecrù media, molto persistente. Al naso note di caffè, cioccolato fondente. In bocca è morbidissima, equilibrata, perfetta, con amaro contenuto e leggera mineralità, a conferire ancora maggiore beva. Corpo leggero, carbonazione soft. Splendida.
