Shared bottle at Lervig Local, Stavanger. Pours dark brown without any head. Aroma of chocolate, vanilla, notes of oak, ethanol. Tastes pretty sweet with little bitterness. Medium bodied, alcoholic warmth. A little bit too sweet for my palate, but well balanced barrel aged aroma.

Draught @ MBCC 2021. Sweetish and heavy with barrel notes, bourbon, some maple syrup and vanilla. Okay, not as pastry heavy.

Pours black, no real head. Scent is intense, thick. Barrel , but smooth as hell. Vaniline, depth, complex, maple. Peanuts are hidden. Taste is very full, heavy but balanced. Mostly barrel, rich malty base. Not overly sweet. has some balancing bitterness to provide a counter to the sugars, maple is present but fairly mild. Lovely beer for sure.

Draught @ MBCC, 2021. Pours black with a small creamy head. Plenty of good roast. Soy, coffee and charcoal. Salty and dry. Roasted nuts - without them this would have been a killer. Full bodied. Vinous. Long finish.
