Bottle at home. Clear dark golden color, medium sized white to off-white head. Aroma and flavor are malts, heavy barrel in there, honey notes, some booze / alcohol, dried fruits, more alcohol. Hmm not great but interesting since it's definitely not standard.

13/IV/23 - 33cl bottle from Bierhalle Deconinck (Vichte), shared @ holiday home (France), BB: XI/2024, lot A (2023-329)
Clear orange blond beer, big aery irregular white head, unstable, falls down pretty quickly. Aroma: rather oxidized, honey, genever then I suppose, very strong and alcoholic smell, phenols, some wood notes, vanilla touch. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: very alcoholic, strong liquor flavour, a bit of overripe banana, rum, some vanilla, slightly sourish, some dried fruits, alcohol. Aftertaste: more alcohol, pretty bitter, ripe pears, a bit sourish, still a lot of alcohol, hard to believe this is “only” 9% abv. Some fruity notes, not bad!

330 ml bottle. Pours a cloudy brown/amber with full head. Aromas of mashed stoned fruit, perfume, soft Belgian yeast, and doughy malts. Flavors of floral alcohol, Belgian yeast, lemons and bready malts. Interesting

Bottle courtesy of Bram - many thanks! Clear dark golden-amber, big, foamy, off-white head. Aroma of perfume, rosewater, orange peel, pineapple, lychee, candied plum, jenever, 'saké' even, vanilla. Taste has sweet pear, pineapple & lychee, estery & perfumey, some citrus peel sourishness, touch of vanilla and soap in a honey-malty body. Floral hoppy finish with ripe yellow fruits, perfume and warming jenever alcohol. Medium to full body, oily texture, average carbonation. Manages to keep a decent balance, so pretty well done!

An orange beer, a head is medium and blond. Aroma has fruitness, dried apricot, some caramel and spicyness. Taste has fruitness, apricot, some barrel and whiskey. Actually, pretty nice after the first sip. Medium bodied, carbonation is slightly high. This is the best of Rik & Raf. Balanced, tripel and barrel are there with nice combo.

A Belgian tripel that is barrel aged, lots to anticipate here. This 33 cl bottle was delivered from the Struise Beershop fairly recently. A pour into a globe glass, I see a hazy, dark gold body finished by a steadily regenerated head of fully white, very fine bubbles. The nose is ripe fruit and alcohol. A modest beginning but the taste is certainly a progression. Peaches, grain, yeast, white bread, booze and apricots. Somewhat sweet and a touch of bitterness finishing. A beer that checks a lot of boxes.
LCI BAB... triples are not my style, but jenever BA adds some extra character and sharpness. Nice!

Hazy blond colour, white foam. Nose of ripe fruit, some vanilla, light citrus, jenever. Taste is medium sweet, some vanilla notes, fruity with a nice warming alcoholic finish. Very well balanced. A lot better than the normal Rik&Raf.
