A sessionable and moreish amber ale displaying floral, earthy, spicy and pine notes. Sweet, rich, malty flavours are balanced with a blend of five different hop varieties to create a low level of bitterness and a touch of sweetness on the finish.

Cask @ Richard Oastler, Brighouse. Deeper clear golden with a creamy head. It’s a maltier session brew, with some hoppiness balancing things out.

Cask-conditioned at the Commercial Rooms (JDW), Bristol 29 October 2021. Amber in colour with a slight, off-white, head. Leafy hops, some Hedgerow fruit character, slightly biscuity malts leading to a moderately bitter finish. Good.

[Cask at the Hope Tap (JDW), Reading.] An amber pour with a tight cream coloured head; berry aroma; very sweet berry taste with a biscuity malt base; and a dry biscuity finish. Too sweet for my taste.

Cask at the Moon in the Square (JDW), Bournemouth. Amber with a thin white head. Red fruits up front, a little toffee, some dusty mustiness and then marzipan. Just about ok, but got boring.

Cask at Picture House, Stafford. Pours “bitter brown” with a small white head and good lacing. Malts to the fore in the aroma which continue into the mouth, where they are joined by nuts with traces of bitter hops and citrus. There’s a slightly metallic undertone as well. Reasonable, but somewhat bland.
