Can 33 cl. Pours an opaque, reddish black with a small, rough, reddish head. Surprisingly little aroma - some redcurrant and blackcurrant, but fairly muted. Very thick and sweet body - sugary - with extremely intense berry fruit accents. Slightly tart - yet cloyingly sweet with no bitterness. 110123

8-4-8-4-16 Can, VF2789, seven months before bbd. Pours almost black, opaque deep dark red, with a dark reddish head. Aroma is sweet fruity notes of cherries, black currants, aronia and wine grapes, as well as raisins, prunes and tannins. Creamy body, with soft carbonation. Flavour is sweet fruity notes of black currants, aronia, raspberries and , as well as raisins, dark fruits, wine grapes and tannins. Lingering dry, musty finish. A pretty peculiar, tart, fruity concoction, which slides its way towards Port and Sherry territory as it warms up. Very nice, but a sipper for sure.

15th January 2022 Can. Bonkers list of ingredients. Opaque dark purple beer, small bloody looking purple head. A distinctly organic looking affair. Palate is smooth and a little viscous, decent fine carbonation. How does one pick this extraordinarily intense affair apart? Well rich intense blackberry and blackcurrant will make for a good start along with a clear rich tomato tartness in the mid. Spice. More rich berries. Blueberry riding along underneath. Sharp savoury cut. Spice. Squid ink earthyness, if you are looking for it. Smoothfinish. Feels like a surface scratch here, layers upon layers of dark goodness. Even the Mrs said it was stunning.
