Bottle. Clear amber brown, collapsing head. Meaty sugary burnt/roast aroma, wood, sherry notes, fermented fruit salad. Medium light body. Caramel/roast sugar malt base, not too sticky. Candied oranges, some fruit liquor, a hint spice, somewhat boozy finish.

Flaša from trade with otto’s mops:Cloudy, brown coloured, medium-sized lacy off-white head; pretty sweet caramelly nose with traces of a christmas cake (honey, x-mas spices); moderate sweet-bitter flavour, barely medium bodied, not overly soft; slightly drier lingering sweet-bitter finish with traces of coriander. Oh no...

Bottle. Malt centered, caramelly, toffeeish. Relatively easy drinking, but could use more character richness.

Pours very dark orange from the bottle. The creamy head soon fades. Aroma is very Christmas-like with elements of orange peel, coriander, and chocolate. Taste is bittersweet with the orange peel coming through in a big way, and yet by no means one dimensional. A steady, sweet roasted undertone balances the citric tartness, and on top of it all a hint of spice. I would call it a successful stab at creativity. Contrary to some reviews, I did not find the palate at all watery. Body is on the light side of medium, with a lightly oily feel. Nice drinking.

13/IX/16 - 33cl bottle from a trade @ home - BB: V/2016 (2016-1013) Thanks to beerhunter111 for the trade!
Clear purple brown beer, creamy beige head, little stable, non adhesive. Aroma: lots of caramel, vanilla, some dried fruits, chocolate, more vanilla, sweet, malty. MF: soft to no carbon, medium body. Taste: slightly sourish start, sweet, orange peel, bitter touch, some chocolate, hint of vanilla. Aftertaste: hoppy bitterness, lots of chocolate, a dry note, dried fruits, bit watery, caramel, sweet touch. Surprised at the low ratings. I guess the Germans don't like dubbel and spices in their beer too much? :p Or maybe the ageing on my bottle made it much better, that's possible as well of course.

Pours hazy, murky orange to brown color. Aroma of coriander, malt with some light spices notes. Taste is also a mix of coriander notes with fruitness.
