440ml can from Lullaby, Kuala Lumpur. Poured a slightly hazy yellow golden colour with a short-lived, frothy white head. The aroma is grainy malt, light grassy hops. The flavour is moderate bitter, with a fresh, crisp, grassy, weedy, light citrus, mineral, light floral, dry hop bitter palate and a lingering bitter finish. Medium bodied with average to soft carbonation.

440ml can. Hazy, yellow-ish, golden colour with average to huge, thick, creamy, moderately lasting and lacing, white head. Grassy, herbal and minimally fruity, hoppy aroma, rather multifaceted hints of grass, hay, scrub, copse, a touch of white grapes, grape sugar, yuzu. Taste is dry, papery, herbal hoppy, somehow bitter and peppery herbal, some bitter zesty aspects as well. Watery texture, dry palate, medium to fine, prickly carbonation. Delightful nose, slightly strange and minimally unpleasant taste (concerning the kind of bitterness) - not exactly Cloudwater's best effort.

Can at home in Hackney - picked up from HOTM. Pours hazed gold with a small, frothy white head. Light-medium sweet flavour with floral hops, assertive piney notes, sun-kissed pale malts, a little rind and grass. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Lightly resinous to finish, lemon rind, grass, grapefruit pith, sturdy pale malt support, a little peach. Lingering bitterness. Nice one.

Can from Premier Hop, Pudsey, W.Yorkshire. A hazy golden/orange coloured pour with a medium white head on top. Hoppy, citrus, orange, grapefruit, pine aroma/taste. Quite bitter and a bit lacking, not one of Cloudwaters best but drinkable enough.

Cloudy orange body and pretty good foam. Kind of a musty hop aroma, soft papaya and weedy hops, too subtle. Taste is good pney papaya, soft honeydew melon, finishing oily and a little chewy. Smooth nonetheless. A nice meld, a little casual but working well in that way.

Can at home picked up from CW online. A translcuent golden orange coloured pour with a frothy white head that fades to loose bubbles. Aroma soft bready grains, citrusy hop, orange rind, pine, some grass. Flavour is composed of rustic bready grains, aggressive bitter citrus, grapefruit, lemon, pine, numbing grassy hops linger. The bold bitterness is a welcome break from the norm, but it is perhaps a little harsh. Palate is grainy, numbing hop oils, spritzy carbonation. Pithy bitter finish.

Draught keg at Ebeneezer's, Nantwich. Light to mid-gold, hazy with a fluffy white head. Pink grapefruit aroma, it's lively but hard to detect much of anything else. Bittersweet taste, leaning toward the butter edge, with kore hard citrus mid-sip. Some sweeter notes toward the nicely balanced long finish. Carbonation is pretty heavy. It's a good beer which got better with each sip (always a good sign).

Can. Beer Stop, Dronfield. Pretty full haze on a medium gold. Thin CW swede. Nose has light caramel malt. Some ripe pineapple. Some piny notes. Sweet citrus. Taste has upfront malty sweetness with a moderate pithy, grassy bitterness. Quite dry on the palate. Fine carbonation. Dry and light bitter finish. Don’t particularly see what makes this West Coast, but it’s decent overall anyway.

Can on the train back from Kingswear, from CW online, 28/08/21. Hazed orange with a decent off white cap that dissipates to a swirl. Nose is orange zest, floral notes, grass, ripe melon, pineapple. Taste comprises orange squash, grass, melon, pineapple, airy malts. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, light drying close splashed with balanced juicy come grassy hop bitterness. Decent enough IPA.
