Bottle, 0.50l. Pitch black color with thin quickly diminishing light brown head and sparkling appearance. Aroma of grass, cereals, dust, mild roasted malt and caramel. Taste starts with moderate sweet roasted malt and chocolate, following is a bit smoky and leathery with mild fruity and grassy acidity, mouthfeel is smooth, while finish is mild bitter. Light body, slick texture and average carbonation in palate. Black is tasty, but this one just averagely...

440 ml nitro can.

Pours black with 2 fingers of creamy off white foam.

The smell is big on the roasted malt with hints of chocolate, overall has a nice bitter aspect to it.

Roasted malt and semi sweet chocolate taste. Also has a "milky" flavour. Smooth and pretty tasty.

Pours black colour with small and short lasting, off-white head. Smell is a bit weak, malty and subtly smoked. Light body with watery texture. Pretty high carbonation for this style. Taste is mostly bitter with some off-placed sour notes. Aroma is very weak, yeast, roasted malts, smoke, traces of coffee. Very mediocre, and the choice to bottle this into transparent bottles is also quite questionable. Overall, as a stout, this one is a failure. Very weak, thin and watery. It would pass as an ok dark lager, tho. Barely.

Cask at Le Bon Bock in Rome-Italy, paired with oysters. Black pour with some brownish highlights, super creamy head never ending. Nose: fishy, delicate roast, elegant! Mouth: flat carbo, watery roast, mild tea hops! Just great! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours black from the bottle with a creamy head. An aroma of smoke and roasted malts wafts from the glass. The strong smoke smell is literally like smelling your clothes after leaving a smokey bar. Very little evident carbonation. Taste is coffee, smoked malts, and a touch salty. Lightly bitter finish that is (what else?) smokey. The beer is just a hint warming despite the relatively low ABV, but the palate feels watery and thin and therein is the beer’s greatest weakness. Call it "stout lite".

On tap @Le Bon Bock (Rome). Pours deep brown with a medium and persistent creamy beige head. Aroma is delicate roasty, chocolate biscuits, cocoa powder, nuts. Flavour is delicate too, soft roasted malts sweetness balanced by a delicate bitter end. Light body, soft carbonation. Simple and fine.

Nitro can. The pour is a beautiful show. Very creamy attractive tan head. Smell is a malty beverage. Flat. Yes, could never get used to a completely flat beer. Feels like it set out overnight. Taste is mild and quite civilized stout, probably comes across like a very mild sweet stout. Easy going and a little weak. If this had some co2 effects in there I would give it at least a 4.5. Very few ill effects except for the lack of carbonation, but that cutting sizzle is a very important part of the enjoyment.
