Can shared at the CBJ tasting, acquired from an online peddler whom I can't recall, 18/10/23. Light black with a khaki cap that veers to the edge. Nose is chocolate, dark malts, custard essence. Taste comprises cocoa sprinkle, tangy dried fruit rinds, dark malts, more tang than sweet. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Passable affair ... has an overwhelming tangy edge about it that kills off the good lord custard!

30/12/2023. Can shared at CLBF. From Beer Central, Sheffield. Pours black with a small short lasting beige head. Aroma is chocolate, caramel, cocoa, vanilla, custard tart. Moderate sweetness, moderate roasted bitterness, curious tartness. Moderate body, average carbonation. Nice aroma and looks but didn’t like the taste.

Bottle share at CBJ. Thanks to Cloin for the can. Almost opaque dark brown beer, small tan head. Airy and semi dry palate, good fine carbonation. Thin dark malts. A thin dark chocolate. Tangy vanilla vibe. Tangy ripe fruits. Hmm, thin, tangy and frankly a wondering why the fuck I bothered with this - unanswered.

Keg @ Tap and Can. Pours pitch black, thin, receding tan head. Desert-like nose with chocolate eclair and vanilla coming singing nicely. Vanilla custard tart introducing itself on the sip with grainy cocoa lingering on the finish. Nicely sweet. Oily palate. Very nice.
