Serafijnen zijn engelen die volgens het oude testament het dichtst bij god staan . of dat zo is laten we in het midden , maar hemels zijn de Serafijn bieren alvast wel.

Bottle, 11%. Distinct malt syrup aroma, caramellly and spicy. Cloudy copper colour. Good stable white head. The flavour is sweet, malty, caramelly with a spicy sugar note and a distinct bitterness. Does not taste that strong, but has some alcohol bitterness in the finish.

Oranje goudkleurig bier met schuim. Smaak is bitterzoet met iets van gedroogd fruit, wat honing en wat bitter van de hop.

Hazy amber reddish colour, beige foam. Nose of marzipan, dried fruit. Taste is rather sweet, typical Belgian yeast profile.

Not sure where I picked this bottle up from, but regardless I consumed it at home Thursday 2nd December 2021, we had Salmon and Cream Cheese Stuffed Pasta Shells for tea, listening to Gideon Coe on 6 Music. Pours hazy light amber with a white head. Some sugars on the nose, malt nose, with a little spice, toffee and caramel. The nose description is pretty much replicated in the mouth, it's also warming a little bit boozy and a jolly pleasant Barley Wine. .

Very good, very dense, lightly yellowish head over finely carbonated clear copperish golden beer. Faint glue, green apples, lightly coloured malts. Sweet flavour, almondy, bit in a big way alcoholsweetness. Some scorched sugar, alcohol wryness. Unfermented white grapejuice. Quite a bit spicy too. Sticky, well bodied despite alcoholthinning, alcoholheat and its wryness. OK, not much more. Txs to Stef!

28/VIII/21 - 44cl can from Willems (Grobbendonk), shared @ summer holiday in France, BB: 3/XI/23, L20200067 (2021-983)

Clear pale blond to yellow beer, big creamy pillowy off-white head, stable, adhesive, leaving a nice lacing in the glass. Aroma: very malty, lots of banana, yeast, bit oxidized, sweet impression. MF: ok carbon, medium to full body. Taste: sweet start, bit malty, lots of alcohol, little bitter, some banana, sweet and sugary. Aftertaste: more ripe banana, pretty bitter and hoppy, bit oxidized, yeasty, sweet caramel malts, orange peel. A quad at best, but by no means is this a barley wine. Too much yeast in the taste profile…
