6/1/2018. Cask at the Ale House, Chelmsford. Pours very slightly hazy copper brown with a small frothy off-white head. Aroma of biscuit, caramel, malt, hop and fruit. Medium sweetness, moderate but developing bitterness. Medium body, slightly watery texture, fine carbonation. Quite a tasty bitter. Also 9/5/2025 for photo at the New Inn, Colchester.

Half-pint, cask at United Brethren. Upper par lacing from a covering pearl white head, misty amber body. Smell of bread and toffee, promising. Dough fruity taste profile added by caramel malts. Bittersweet ending notes. Easy to drink. Pleasing (Chelmsford 23.11.2021).

Gravity cask at Pigs Ear 2021 - Hackney. Pours clear chestnut with an impressive, frothy off-white head. Lightly sweet with nice toasty biscuits, nutty grains, soft leafy bitterness. Light bodied with massaging carbonation; great condition. Well balanced finish, more toasted grains, nutty malts. Solid.

Sun Inn fest. Kelvedon. Cask. Very light haze on this amber beer, a few pale cream colour bubbles. Smooth and mildly dry palate, reasonable fine carbonation. Fairly tangy malts, whisper of caramel. Tangy citrus. Trace of fresher orange but also quite tangy. Whisper of smoke. Smooth semi dry finish. Not awful but does feel a little unrefined and awkward.
