The third beer in the series, is Clipping Waves, a citrus Tea IPA. We’ve joined forces with Scotland’s Brewgooder, who believe beer can create waves of positivity for people around the world, by funding clean water projects. Our own proximity to the coast in Southwold means we see the impact of climate change every day and as a result we have always looked to reduce our demand on our natural resources. Each can of Clipping Waves sold will contribute towards Brewgooder’s water projects in India.

Can. Quite a lively opener. Light haze on this gold beer, small cream colour head. Light palate, semi dry, decent fine minerally carbonation. Thin malts provide a modicum of sweetness. The tea is immediately obvious, citric and floral and it blends well with the hoppy fruits form the Olicana and Sabro, with the former being much more obvious than the latter. Light pine runs throughout. Nice. Tea and hops. Who knew? Very drinkable, just a tad dry.

330ml can bought at Adnams Store in Bury St Edmunds. Shared with Finn. Clear dark golden body, steady white head, spotty lacing. Inviting smell of tea-like hops, herbs and some citrus. Zesty grapefruit flavours together with a biscuit vibe. Finish with a mild fruity spices. Quite alright. (Hotel session, London 16.11.2021).

Panda at home, thanks to SHIG, 22/09/21. Almost clear golden amber with a decent off white covering. Nose is orange zest, perfume, grass, tea leaf, hint of grapefruit. Taste comprises orange marmalade, trace of lime, citric tinged straw, grass, airy malts, floral notes, herb, tea leaves. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close splashed with modest hop bitterness. Not bad ... quite refreshing.

Can from Adams Cellar & Kitchen Store, Woodbridge. Darker golden with light citrus notes fused with some herbal notes, I guess this is the tea, but is low in character.
