Bottle. Super dark black, one of the darkest brown heads I've seen on a beer. Sweet oaky-whisky-nose, with a lot of cacao and roast notes. The flavor has a bit of soy, whisky, and quite some oak astringency. The alcohol from the cask really comes through, a tad too much perhaps. But very nice complexity with big bitterness and a lot of roasted malt.

Munich Ratebeer Group Tasting at Jonas, Garching Friday 22nd October 2021. Pours black with a filmy off white head, some black treacle, molasses, thick mouthfeel, liquorice coffee and chocolate, this is very nice, the barrel ageing softens this slightly. Like this a lot.

Dark. Aroma is cocoa intense raisin wood. Taste is sweet cocoa with more intense bitter oily wooden roasted caramel. Not bad.

Bottle. Black color with beige head. Aroma is a bit too much booze, but decent cocoa and roast too. Taste is really great cocoa, a bit wood sugar and caramel when you chew it a bit.. Velvety mouthfeel with smooth carbonation.
