Clear dark brown to black beer, small creamy beige head, unstable, non adhesive. Aroma: caramel, malty, grains, sourish impression, raisins, figs, some chocolate. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: sourish start, lots of chocolate, pretty bitter, some blueberry jam, dry, more fruity notes. Aftertaste: bitter, roasted, a bit sourish, more blueberry, some coffee, chocolate notes, not a big fan but a decent beer if anything.

(Draught at Walhalla Brewery & Proeflokaal, Amsterdam, 27 Aug 2022) Black colour with frothy, beige head. Malty, roasted nose with notes of dark chocolate, coconut and vanilla. Malty, roasted taste with dark chocolate, sweet espresso, vanilla, coconut and a balanced cacao bitterness. Full body, quite sweet. Sweet and powerful, but really rich and tasty. Very nice.

33cl can. A black beer with a beige lacing. Aroma of strong sweet dark malt, chocolate, coffee. Taste of sweet strong malt, chocolate, lot of coffee, vanilla beans, lacto.

Dunkelmalziger Beginn, deutliche Süße. Viel Kakao, Schokolade, wenig Vanille. Weiter süß aber nicht zuckrig, süffig, geringe bis keine Herbe, rund. Langer malziger Abgang. 10/12/12/12/11/12

33cl Blik van Walhalla. Zwarte kleur, beige-bruine kraag. Gebrande mout, vanille, melksuiker, niet alteveel kokos, caramel, chocolade, wel erg zoet ondanks de toch ook flink aanwezige gebrande mout-smaken, zacht, glad mondgevoel. Medium tot volle body. Te zoet voor mij om echt top te zijn.

0.33 l can from 'rebelbeercans', canned in November 2021. Pitch black with a medium large, frothy, almost stable, light brown head. Sweetish-malty, slightly roasty aroma of milk chocolate, vanilla and coconut. Rather sweet, malty, gently roasty taste of milk chocolate, coconut, vanilla and lactose, followed by a medium long, gently roasty-bitter, minimally earthy finish. Full body, very smooth and creamy mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Overly sweet beer, heavily saturating, still with a noticeable roast bitterness. Tasty.

Near black with no real head. Aroma of roast, veggie green coffee, dark chocolate and malt. Flavour is light heavy sweet and bitter. Full bodied with soft carbonation.
