500ml bottle: BB 30th September 2021. Bought and drank at The Crown Inn, Oakengates on 1st October 2021 (so a day out of date). Clear deep amber body, off-white head. Malty molasses rule the nose and taste of this brew, caramel sweetness running through from start to finish, balanced by some mild hop action.

Bottle. Clear amber body with a thin off-white head that fades. Steady carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of rum, raisin and coffee. Flavour of stewed berries and brown sugar. Thin to medium body with a slick mouthfeel. Light fizz. An excellent beer - clean and sweet. It reminded me of Cross Borders’ Wee Heavy.

Bottle purchased from the Offie, Leicester, and drunk at home. Light mahogany, clear with a ring of beige head. Malty aroma, slight suggestions of cocoa and beetroot juice. Sweet taste, light dusting of chocolate and red grape, some bitterness mid-sip which then fades. Beady and modest vegetal flavours in the finish. Highly carbonated, but the body is fairly slight. It's not bad.

Best by September 13th 2020. It just made the cut.

It pours a clear reddish brown with a nice head of foam that shrinks to a fine layer.

It smells malty, grainy, semisweet, light fruitiness.

Taste is grainy, semisweet malt, some bread but more like toasted.

Has a creamy smooth mouthfeel.

Makes me wonder how good it could have been fresh. No regrets buying the bottle though. It's quite tasty.
