Bottle picked up at the Brewery. Loving these Kernel catch up rates! Translucent yellow golden / straw coloured pour with a lasting sticky white head that develops some lace. Aroma is lovely mixed fruit salad with big lychee, mango and grape. Nice clean bready grains on the nose as well. Flavour is composed of clean bready grains, more citrusy hop in the flavour, tangy grapefruit and orange rind, with nice tropical fruit in the background. Bitterneess is firm and clean. Palate is medium light bodied, moderate carbonation, little grainy on the tongue. Really good balance, smashable.

Draught sample at CBC 2015. Cloudy golden colour with a thin, white head. Fruity aroma with sweet, exotic fruits, floral hops, grass, white wine grapes and light pine notes. Fresh and zesty aroma. Taste is bitter. Lovely. Medium body with a fine, dotting carbonation. Finishes dry and bitter with fresh fruits, citrus and a light spicy notes. Excellent APA, really fresh and drying.

Hazy yellow beer with a decent white head. Smell is grassy citrus. Flavour follows suit, with enough sour bitterness that it’s not sickly but enough sweetness that it’s not overly tart. It’s not especially complex but it’s got a great balance to it. If I’d chilled it a bit more it would have been perfect for a sunny afternoon.

Sample at CBC. Taste of gooseberries, grape seeds and peach candy. As always a nice pale ale from Kernel, however, not my favorite hop.
