This is an orchard blend of apples picked a pip’s throw away from the famed Great Oak of Eardisley. Recorded in the Domesday Book this stately 900 year old tree is much revered but perhaps has only become so because of its age. It serves as a wonderful reminder to protect and indeed plant young trees, so that they too might reach the same lofty status! Light and refreshing, reflecting the earlier styles of Herefordshire Cider.

Unfiltered, unpasteurised, pet nat, medium dry, pure juice cider
Ingredients: Apples handpicked from unsprayed traditional standard orchards
Pressed November 2019

75cl bottle on New Year's Day, shared with Soph and Ewan. Misty amber pour. Natural apple fruit aroma, lightly caramelised. Lovely crisp, spritzy feel on the palate, with comforting natural scuzzy fruit and fleshy caramelised notes. Really nice.

750ml bottle from Cat in the Glass. Sparkling, hazy orange gold colour, short-lived fizzy white foam head that dissipates to a thin rim and aroma of mucky, funky apple, orchardy, leathery, caramel hint. Taste is tangy, juicy apple, fruity, mellow, bittersweet, with some spicy earthy tannins. Medium bodied, medium foamy carbonation, dry tannic finish. Nicely drinkable.
