Can from Tick Beer. Dark brown with some ruby red light, small beige head which recedes quickly. Aroma of roasted malt, coffee, salted nuts, hint of chocolate. Just a really solid porter aroma in truth. Taste starts the same but has liquorice and spice in the finish and prevents this being solid-porter-by-numbers. Flavoursome.

Cask at Craft Beer Co, Cov Garden. 04/03/20. Malty liqourice aroma. Darkest brow. Beige head forms a ring. Lighest (lightest) bitter with some sweet liqourice. Light-medium bodied. Thin but slick. Slightly astringent finish. Boring.

Cask at CBC, Covent Garden on 16th February 2020. Barely penetrably black with tan foam and spot lacing. Rich and intense roast coffee aroma. Spices and espresso coffee in-mouth and a rich roasty finish. Very smooth texture and a medium body as befits a porter.

Cask at CBC Islington - London. Pours deep brown with a small, creamy topping. The nose holds light coffee, strong roast, baking cocoa. Light sweet flavour with muted dark malts, subtle leathery berries, bitter cocoa. Light bodied, somewhat oily, soft. Finishes with more leather, bittersweet cocoa, some ashy roast. So so.
