Can from Cotteridge Wines; hazy light orange pour with a bubbly off white head, aroma has tangerine, taste has slight perfume, tangerine, sweet malts.

Solid one. Very soft mouthfeel, almost velvety. Lightly juicy, plenty of tropical flavors, without being oversweet or too bright. Easy drinking, a good and easy beer. I like the use of the word "opaque" here.

Cask at the Chiltern Taps, Wycombe. Hazy yellow beer with a white head. Good full tropical fruit aroma. The flavour is a little more subdued but lemon, melon and a little pine do sally forth to tempt the old taste buds. A moderate bitterness to finish. Ok IPA, have got a bit bored with the whole hoppy pale ale thing though.

On tap at The Big Society, Cowley Rd, Oxford, Friday 13th July 2018 whilst we at Natalie (Loz's work colleague) leaving do. Pours hazy, murky gold as is the norm' these days with a white head atop. Fruity but with a good bittersweet balance. Good hoppiness, I liked this and had a few too many pints. A7 A4 T7 P4 Ov15 3.7

Can at home from Mad Squirrel, High Wycombe, 16th June 18. Pours a cloudy orange. Aroma is tropical fruit, some citrus. Taste is tropical, sharp notes, citrus, then some malt grain balance. Pretty good.

Can. Cloudy paleish brown beer, not very attractive! Small cream colour head. Palate is light, semi dry and has decent fine minerally carbonation. Smooth malts, mild to medium sweetness. Good pine and mild spice. Decent citrus, slight pith and peel. Light semi dry finish brings a trace of grapefruit. Quite well joined up and drinkable.

Six half-pints of different Mad Squirrel beers in their High Wycombe outlet, shared with the wife on 2nd April 2018. Theydon_Bois (Colin) brought us here before the big match (Wycombe v Grimsby Town). On-tap, Keg. Hazy golden pour, lasting white crown on top. Fruit bowl aroma with tropical and citrus notes to the fore, taste carries on in the same way, mild bitterness in the finish.

Can at home from Hertford North station. A great pour and a really turgid look in the tankard. The nose was sweet mango and it was gorgeous. The temperature was perfect and that meant the taste and mouthfeel were spectacular. Sweet tropical fruits with balanced bitterness in a smooth mouthfeel. There was no hop burn or pine toilet cleaner and the alcohol was very well hidden. A true English double IPA and it was lovely, lovely, lovely. Who would have though that the fuddy duddy Red Squirrel Brewery would transform into something that would produce a beer as spectacular as this.

Tap at the Mad Squirrel Brewery Shop, Amersham. Poured a milky straw colour with a frothy white head. The aroma is malt, light fruit, dry hop. The flavour is moderate bitter with a dry, crisp, fresh malt, light tart fruit, dry spicy woody hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation.
