We’ve shaken up traditional tastes by brewing a spiced Belgian-style wheat ale with real orange, lemon and lime peels, and then added a little coriander spice to the mix. This uniquely-crafted and award-winning ale is unfiltered to create a brew that is naturally cloudy with a light golden color and a smooth, refreshing finish.

On tap at City, San Francisco. It pours a hazy, orange body under a finger-thick white head. Oranges and some wheat in the aroma, rather boring, but sort of pleasant. Medium body, nice carbonation. Oranges and some spiced hints in the flavor. Wheat and a little bitterness too. Short finish dominated by sweet oranges. A decent beer indeed, but a tad boring. 130804

The appearance is an orange colored paleness with a small head that dissipates quickly, and it has minimal lacing. The smell doesn’t have much just a bit of orange/citrus with a little bread/wheat added in. The taste is basically a light sweet orange and biscuity bready malt. The palate is crisp and light bodied with a light to medium carbonation and just a tad of alcohol. Overall, this isn’t a witbier, its an American Pale Wheat Ale which I don’t see on the rate beer website. However, to me, I won’t have this again.

Canette 473ml.

This white beer poured a cloudy, light yellow colour with a quick living, bright white, foamy head., To the nose there are scents of soda water, citrus and ginger ale. First sip was a little watery with flavours of citrus and bread. Very weak. Finish is light with flavours of bread lingering. Drinkable but very weak.

Draught at the Valley Forge Conference Center, PA. A hazy pale amber with a ring of white head; aroma of orange and cinnamon; soft in the mouth with a light coriander flavour over a very floury base; leading a dry, undefined finish. A rather weak example of a Witbier.
