This wheat ale contain 50% raw wheat and 50% barley malt. The raw wheat is locally poduced at the foot of the Jura montains where the brewery stands. The citrusy edge in this beer commes from seville orange peel, and coriander lends a refereshing note to this thirst-quencher. Bottle-conditioned with a belgian blanche yeast, which remains in suspension, hence the slight haze.

Ein Blanche aus der französischen Schweiz und das ist wirklich toll. Ich habe es bereits vor einigen jahren einmal getrunken und jetzt habe ich es wieder vor mir. Und der positive EIndruck von damals hat sich gehalten. Es ist ein fein fruchtiges BIer, das nicht in eine schleimige Hefigkeit abgeleitet und trotzdem schön sanft-samtig bleibt. Ein gut gelungenes Stück Handwerkskunst-Bier.

0,33 flaske hjemført fra Sveits av Einar og delt med ham juni-14: veldig lys strågul med kortvarig hvitt skum. Beskjeden men behagelig krydderaroma. God sommerforfriskning med mild bitterhet, noe krydder og tørr avslutning.

330ml bottle. Clear pale golden colour with small to average, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Citrusy and spicy aroma, lemon, a soapy touch of coriander. Taste is dry, minimally tart, fruity, lemon, orange zest, coriander. Refreshing, mild spicy, nice.

Bottle from Drinks of the World, Zurich. Pours cloudy white golden with a white head. Fruity aroma of oranges and banana. Sweeter than most wit beers, but also typical taste of oranges and some herbs.

Kräuterartiger Antrunk mit dunklen und schweren Hefenoten, die den Alkoholgehalt noch verschleiern. Dieser kommt dann aber im Mittelteil deutlich hervor, auch wenn er nicht unbedingt stört. Recht süß, im Abgang vielleicht schon etwas zu stark. Gerade noch harmonisch, die Hefenoten gefallen, die anfänglichen Kräuteröne fallen hier unter den Tisch. Nettes Bier, wenn auch nicht Spitze. 33 cl bottle, thanks to tkrjukoff!BB NOV 2010, sampled on April 1, 2011Cloudy yellow color, small white head. Dry a bit skunky, not so pleasant scent. Mineral, acidic, dry taste; apple aftertaste. Weak mouthfeel, low bitterness.Really not for me this one, didn’t like it.
