This wheat ale contain 50% raw wheat and 50% barley malt. The raw wheat is locally poduced at the foot of the Jura montains where the brewery stands. The citrusy edge in this beer commes from seville orange peel, and coriander lends a refereshing note to this thirst-quencher. Bottle-conditioned with a belgian blanche yeast, which remains in suspension, hence the slight haze.

bottle, thank you very much, Allen! Hazy pale yellow with a mid-sized white head. Aroma of cirtsu fruit, hops and a touch of spice. Light to medium-bodied, malty background with flavours of orange zest and citrus fruit. Slightly hoppy. Hints of spices and herbs, especially coriander and clove. A pleasant lemony sourness is detectable in the background. Very refreshing.

2009-10-24, draught, "Nuit de la Fraîcheur" at the brewery, 6-3-6-3-12=30
Muddy deep blond color. Quite surprisingly there is a light hop aroma. Medium body structure, less strong than its sisters tonight; light malt and wheat flavor, dry finish, a bit spicy. Pleasant.
2009-04-04, bottle, "Mange, c’est de la bière!" at the brewery, 6-3-5-2-11= 27
Cloudy light blond color. Light and fresh aroma. Medium-light body, light wheat flavor, light spices; the final is a bit boring, just the bitterness and nothing else. Simple but refreshing, missing some fruitness.
2008-11-16, bottle, courtesy of Philippe (Bov), 3-3-3-2-6=17
Cloudy blond color, gushing bottle, high carbonation, big head. Strange aroma, herbs (similar to rosemary and heather) and chemicals (like a room in a hospital). Dry mouthfeel, with chemicals again, maybe bitter oranges, and too much bitterness.

25cl bottle. Pours cloudy golden with white head. Aroma is of citrus and agrumes, some orange peel. Taste is hoppy, fruity (orange, lemon) and lightly spicy (coriander/black pepper) aftertaste. Ligh, refreshing, and something really new and interesting in a blanche. I am really impressed by the 3 Dames brewery. Some of their beers seem to have this signature spice and also an excelent stout.

Pale hazy yellow color, big cloudy head. Hops and ginger in the nose. Crisp witbier. Very spicey: ginger and coriander with some honey. Quite Christmasy! Spicey aftertaste.
