Can, 0.473l. Aroma is grainy, vinous, acetic, herbal and floral. Pours hazy dark golden color with large soapy white head and sparkling appearance. Taste starts tart vinous and citrusy, following is grainy with notes of tannins, lactose and hay with crisp and rather dry mouthfeel. Light to medium body, creamy texture and lively carbonation in palate. Good one and reminds me of Stoosh by Skunk Anansie…

Pours unlcear blonde, small white head. Smell is tad tart, passion fruit like aroma ( even though this should be the base, no fruit version ? ) Taste is sharp, tart, passion fruit, very malty ending, nice berliner weisse. High ABV for the style, but it doesnt show to much.

Draft. Clear golden color. Aroma of feet and belly button. Taste is earthy tart almost dirty. Pales in comparison to his homebrewed Berliners.

On tap at J. Wakefield, pours a hazy dull golden yellow with a small white head. Aroma brings out lots of lacto, with subtle lemon zest and just general tart citrus. Flavour is very citric and lacto-y, with tons of yogurty notes and tart citrus. Nicely constructed and hits all the right notes. Very good.

Citrus zest and mostly bread yeast. Interesting to taste a Berliner these guys do without a metric ton of fruit like a kinky sex party. Tangy finish. Tap at brewery.

Actually the first time having the basic Stush. Clean tartness, lactic, this is good, clean berliner. Not so much complexity, but I can see it making a good base.

Draught at Row 34, mid-June 2017.
Cloudy, not intensely so, beige-brass body has a bright golden tint and a medium-sized, white head showing moderate retention.
Bright, well-integrated nose shows harmonious lactic acidity balancing lightly cereal-like wheat notes as lemon and mild tropical fruit notes build up and linger on the finish. Biscuity and tart without being simply a glass of lactic acid, it’s quite aromatic and very clean, with no alcohol.
Biscuity, nutty wheat provides a lightly chewy texture and a good backbone as juicy notes of lemon, mango and nectarine gather on the palate, joined by lively lactic acid in a good proportion. It grows quite tart as it finishes, but never seems overly lactic, while the grains provide just enough sweetness and a firm, soft texture to nicely balance the acidity. Succulently juicy on the end, as all of the best berliners are. At that point I felt it was a very solid, excellent rendition, but on the very finish and retronasal, a highly enjoyable note that was difficult to describe but definitely wheat-derived, showed forth and really clung to my palate for the remainder of my glass. Rich and flavorful, with cereal, earthy and lightly honey-like characteristics. Have definitely encountered it before, though rarely this clearly and enjoyably expressed. Anyways, it takes a hell of a brewer to make DFPF and Miami Madness and it’s no surprise that their base Berliner is awesome too.

Draft at The Partisan. So lemony. Hits re cheeks, puckers you up. Light wee otherwise. Doesn’t seem like a Berliner. More like a funky lemony Belgian but fun.
