Can, 7.5%. Good lagery and malty aroma. Hazy dark golden colour. Big stable white head. The flavour starts off metallic. Turns malty with a spicy hop note. 636316

0.33 l can from 'Craftbeershop.com', canned in November 2021. Slightly hazy, deep amber with a medium large, foamy, almost stable, white head. Slightly sweetish, quite fruity-floral, slightly grassy aroma of lemon, some fresh grass and a touch of pineapple. Quite sweet, malty, moderately bitter, gently fruity-floral and slightly grassy taste of grains, honey, apricot, lemon, pineapple and some fresh grass, followed by a short, gently bitter, slightly grassy finish. Medium to full body, very smooth and slightly creamy mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Lovely heller Doppelbock, superbly balanced, super pleasant flavours. Really good for the style!

Can picked up from Craft Beer Online Shop, Parchim, Germany and consumed at home Sunday 30th January 2022, listening to Fairport Convention - In Real Time *live at Cropredy Festival 1987, this was my first ever proper festival and I continued going to Cropredy on an unbroken run until 2018, over 40 years of my life with my close friends Dadger and Bob also at every single of these festivals, anyway onto the beer. Pours light amber with a white head, a little gluey on the nose, I really cannot get any hops, malts perhaps. Sweet in the mouth, a little bit boozy, some fruitiness, a dusty edge to this. I have to be honest this isn't really doing it for me, the gluey nature that I got on the nose I also get in the mouth. I am not convinced that I will finish this.

Heller und süßer Malbeginn. Die Süße bleibt, etwas alkoholisch und blechern im Hintergrund, moderat würzig. Wenig bitter, etwas buttrig, mittellanger Abgang. Okay. 8/8/9/8/9/8
