12 February 2022. At Winter Belgian Beer Geek Gathering. Many thanks for hosting, Tim, and cheers to the whole crew!

Hazy dark brown, unstable, frothy, tan head. Aroma of date, raisin, vanilla bean, green tea, caramel, brown bread, pistachio. Taste has sweet date, fig & prune in a malt body of peanut, pistachio, some caramel, softly toasty with a herbal edge. Herbal hoppy finish, dried fruit, spices and caramel, warming 'herbal liqueur'-like alcohol. Medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation. Not a bad effort.

Pours a bit clear, darkened amberbron. Small white head. Scent is mildly dried fruits. Mildly phenolic, not as smooth as I'd expect from the style. Taste is mild caramel, some dried fruit, low carbo. Mild bitterness.
