Bottle @ Mikkeller Odense Get Together. Pours Black with a small creamy beige head. Good roast, ashes, chocolate, charcoal. Full bodied. Roasted bitter finish.

Bottle big thanks to Ben H. It pours opaque black with a thick tan head. The aroma is sweet, sticky, oily, vanilla, toasted marshmallow, rocky road, chocolate cake, bourbon, chewy, toothy, unctuous and coconut. The taste is slick, oily, toasted marshmallow, rocky road, roasted malt, bourbon, toffee, vanilla, toasted coconut, spicy, toothy, dark chocolate, banana bread, tropical vibes and oak with a drying finish. Full body, moderate carbonation and foamy white head. Smooth, well rounded and moreish. Tasty gear!

(650ml bottle from Mikkeller Webshop) Pours pitch black with a small dark tan head. Notes of rich dark malts with molasses and grain, dark bread, plenty of bourbon, cocoa powder, burnt coffee, smoky roast, dark fruit, licorice, touch of umami soy, touch of booze. Rather sweet and malty up front but drier into the finish, with the roast and wood giving moderate bitterness and some umami into the aftertaste, joined with lots of bourbon. Medium-full body, soft carbonation, touch of alcohol. A bit unusual a malt profile here, I assume the Bo and Luke influence, but in combination with the hefty barrel it works at least in smaller volumes. Solid.

Aroma has bourbon, coffee, coffee, cocoa and grain. Flavour has bourbon, grain, cocoa, strong and odd malty tones and vanilla. Lingering unusual grainy tones with bourbon vibes. Too stuffy to be highly drinkable.

0,75 flaske delt på (alltid like) hyggelig RBHD-treff hos Odd Gunnar mars-18: nesten kullsort, og så å si uten skum. Vi er kommet til siste øl og stemningen er på topp. Kveldens velkalibrerte program er en suksess, og vi gjør oss klare til å pleie rbhd-symptomene med denne, vel vitende om at full remisjon er uoppnåelig. Brunsvart med tett skum som varer helt til siste dråpe. Mmm, fatlagret delikatesse med stor fylde og innebygget glede. Desertsjokolader, vanilje, lær, sigar, trevert, lakris, bjørnebær, moccabønner. Og munnfølelsen? Cree de la creme.

Bottle shared with RB/HD at Gunnar´s 08.03.18. Dark brown. Pale brown head. Excellent aroma and taste of dates, liquorice, dark malt and so on. Complex and good!

Bottle at cgarvieuk's. Pours pitch black. Aroma is barrel, milk, lactose, booze. Body is heavy and strong, super sweet, barrel and caramel and toffee and chocolate. Lingering sweetness, also some diabetes. Good, though.
