Blik 33cl in Zuidwolde. IBU45. Vol, eik, chocolade, vanille, cognac, hop (Sorachi Ace), zacht, koffietonen, wat droog, roasted malts, redelijk boozy, licht peaty. (25-3-2023).

Brownish black, light brown creamy head. Smells roasty, also sweet cognac. Decent mouthfeel, creamy, soft, some boozyness, nothing very thick. Taste is sweet, very barrel forward, lots of cognac, some wood. There's some good roastyness underneath as well.

33cl can. A black beer with a tan lacing. Aroma of mild smoked and strong dark malt, coffee, wood. Taste of sweet and strong dark malt, coffee, some smoke, wood, cognac. Boozy finish.

Vollmundig malziger Beginn, eher trocken. Röstnoten, milde Süße, geringfügig Alkohol. Cremig malzig, Toffee, intensiv. Mite der Zeit wird der Alkohol klarer erkennbar, bringt aber vanillige Noten mit, weich malziger Abgang. Gut! 10/12/12/12/8/12

330 ml bottle. Pours black with full tan head. Aromas of raisins, sweet cognac, brown sugar, and toasted malts. Flavors of boozy oak, raisins, caramel and toasted malts. Still needs to cellar, but off to a good start. Hey, does anyone cellar any more?

33cl Blik van Bierwinkel Alkmaar. Zwarte kleur, beige kraag. Gebrande mout, hout, wat rozijntjes in de verte, alcohol, hout, hint van vanille, licht rokerig, chocolade en koffie, licht boozy. Medium tot volle body.

0.33 l can from 'rebelbeercans', best before November 2025. Pitch black with a medium large, foamy, almost stable, light brown head. Sweetish-malty, gently roasty, slightly smoky-medicinal and a bit fruity aroma of dark chocolate, peat, cognac, raisins and a touch of coffee. Quite sweet, malty, rather roasty, slightly fruity taste of dark chocolate, coffee, cognac, some raisins and light oak, followed by a long, gently roasty-bitter, slightly vinous, moderately smoky-medicinal and a bit woody finish. Full body, smooth and slightly creamy mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Tasty RIS, lovely cognac flavours, very well-balanced, the peated malts match really well, too. Quite good!
