Keg at 73 Enid Street, 22/11/23. Black with a khaki cap that dissipates to a swirl. Nose is chocolate, dark malts, mellow bourbon rip, toffee fudge, light vanilla oak. Taste comprises chocolate, dark malts, brown sugar melt, spice balance, toffee, light roasted angle, booze kissed. Full bodied, moderate carbonation, drying close with a balanced rising boost offered. Solid work.

12 February 2022. At Winter Belgian Beer Geek Gathering. Many thanks for hosting, Tim, and cheers to the whole crew!
Cloudy black, thin, beige head. Aroma of fondant, chocolate powder, praliné, dark fudge, date, brownie dough, mocha, fig, dried banana, vanilla bean, brandy, coffee liqueur. Taste has sweet date, prune & dried banana in a very thick malt body of toffee, chocolate & praliné with a creamy vanilla and mocha note. Earthy hoppy finish, lingering fondant powder, liquid chocolate, dried fruit and warming brandy-like alcohol. Full body, oily-sticky texture, soft carbonation. Banana is always tricky but works well here. Base beer is marvelous.

Pours black, no head. Scent is full, creamy, intense, roasty, chocolate, banana. Barrels are fairly hidden. Taste is full, roasty, full on chocolate. intense on the maltbase. Banana is clear, but acceptable. I love the intensity of the base ( JWB might have the absolute best stout base worldwide to me) barrels are a bit to mild though. Vanilla is fairly hidden. Still, i'm a banana-in-stout-hater, but this specific beer is alright and more !

66cl bottle @ Brewver Winter Gathering '22, thanks Dylan. no BB.
